Vendor Reviews part 1: Flowers PDF Print E-mail

We got our flowers from Angel Crest Gardens, a local nursery.  They're off Highway 112 - in fact, our guests passed them on the way to the reception at Salt Creek.  Some of the flowers she had to order in, others were grown locally.

I have nothing but rave reviews for the flowers she put together.  They were absolutely gorgeous, and she was willing to string the ribbons and put up the flowers in the sanctuary.  Everything came out beautifully and we remained well in budget.

I would, without hesitation, go back to her for flowers for any other special event.  We did pretty well with all our vendors, but I've started with this one because she just wowed me.  We weren't very particular with our instructions - described the church, our colors, my gown, our feelings about the ceremony, and about the sizes and shapes of arrangements.

She produced some /lovely/ floral arrangements.  Fragrant and beautiful both, and comfortably inside our budget as mentioned before.  Plus, the enviornmental and economic benefits of buying at least some flowers grown locally.

We are, as stated, married and home.  The wedding went off wonderfully, and thank you to everyone that helped.  Thank you especially to my mother, who took on the primary responsibility for getting everything packed up and brought home.  Also thank you to my sister, Jessie Kastl, and Kyle Sadvari, who I know had promised to help her.

And many thank yous to everyone else who pitched in to help her get cleaned up and loaded in a reasonable amount of time   Thank you to everyone who helped this wedding go off as nicely as it did.

I am marrying into a clan of strong women.  After a heroic 1300+ mile drive made by my beloved in a gigantic truck, she, her sister, and her mother offloaded the various detritus of my life in California into a storage unit, and then manhandled a queen sized bed into the house.  Me, I moved some clothing, bedding and similar things.  I herded dogs at the house; I got the sandwiches and water, and I'll be taking them out for dinner tomorrow.  But that's about what I can do without damaging myself, and as Teace says, she has plans for me that don't involve hospitalization.

Getting to Port Angeles PDF Print E-mail

Port Angeles, where our wedding will be held, is a small city or large town northwest of Seattle, on the other side of the Puget Sound.  While it's not that far as the crow flies, very few of us are crows, and all that water makes it hard to drive straight there.

If you fly in to Seatac airport (SEA) you have a number of choices in how to get to Port Angeles.
